99% of the students I meet don’t know how to study.

They either over study, trying to cram the material into their heads or they under study, giving up before they even really begin. Either way learning becomes ingrained as a painful experience with very few students experiencing the fluency and pleasure of knowing how to learn.

This shouldn’t be the case.

The essential skill every student requires in school is the ability to process material to mastery. Their daily task is to break down, clarify, and simplify concepts and then organize them in their mind for easy retention. When a student masters this process, learning becomes clearer, easier and more productive. Success is the natural outcome.

What’s the Goldhar Method based on?

I’ve been writing crash courses for over twenty five years. My passion is showing students how much they can learn if they start with a big picture framework and then build their knowledge base systematically, placing material within the proper context.

In 2001 a Middle School Principal asked me if I would teach his students how to study based on my method for mastering material when I wrote my courses. A pilot program was organized in 7th grade biology and I went into class once a week showing the students how I would study their weeks worth of material using my method. After four sessions they had their next big test and two things happened. Their grades shot up, in some cases by 50%, while their study time was dramatically reduced by 80%.

The reason why students enthusiastically adopted my method is that it streamlined the learning process. Instead of teaching them a bunch of nice tips and strategies across a wide range of skills, my method integrates the core learning skills into one easy to follow system.
